Quadrennial Ozone Symposium 2016 4–9 September 2016 Edinburgh, United Kingdom

Author guidelines

Oral presentations

Please note, that due to author copyright privileges, it is strictly prohibited to take photos and/or copies from laptops and desktops of any scientific material without the expressed permission by the authors.

Oral presentations are scheduled in thematic sessions and will all be held in the main auditorium in plenary. The programme gives details for each session and the timings for presentations, which include time discussion and change over. Each oral presentation slot is 15 minutes, with 10 minutes for presentation, 3 minutes for questions & answers, and 1 minute for changeover. Keynote lectures have a duration of 30 minutes, incl. Q&A.

The lecture room is equipped with a computer, a projector, a pointer, and screen. Accepted formats for presentations are *.PPT, *.PPTX or *.PDF, with presentations on a USB stick for transfer to the presentation PC in the main auditorium. Since the presentations are given in one plenary session, all (!) authors are kindly asked to upload their presentations directly in the main auditorium within 30 minutes prior to the actual time block of the session. A lecture room assistant will be available for any help.

The aspect ratio of the projector in the main auditorium is 16:9.

A conference assistant will be present in the lecture room. He/she will help the chairperson and the speakers. The session chairs will be asked to strictly enforce the schedule, to ensure that each presenter has sufficient time for their presentation.

Posters

Posters will be on display for the full duration of the Symposium in the main catering area, where coffee and lunch breaks will be held. The poster boards are Velcro-covered and fixation material for attaching the posters to the board will be available at the registration desk.

In general, for each poster paper one numbered poster board in portrait format is reserved with a clear dimension of the A0 standard format, i.e. 841 mm (width) x 1189 mm (height) or 33.11" (width) x 46.81" (height). Posters exceeding these limits or in different orientation cannot be displayed!

We ask each poster presenter to be available at a specified time at his/her display for presentation and interaction with viewers. For this purpose, we will display a time slot during the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday lunch breaks for each poster on the board alongside the Poster number. We kindly ask all presenters to be available at this time. In addition, we will have a reception and poster session with drinks on the Monday evening from 18:00, for which we would invite all poster presenters to be available at their poster. In case a presenter is not available for the allocated session, please contact the registration desk or provide a different time slot on the poster board.

Due to author copyright privileges, it is strictly prohibited to take photos and/or copies from laptops and poster boards of any scientific material without the expressed permission by the authors.

For any questions or issues, please contact the local organising committee by email.
